NLP means Neuro Linguistic Programming. It is a collection of models and techniques to systematically intervene, changing thought, feelings and behaviours of oneself or someone else.

NLP assumes that mind and body are strongly connected with each other. NLP is important for inter-personal and intra-personal communications.

NEURO reflects our neurological system. How do we experience reality and how do we change these in thoughts, feelings and images?

LINGUISTIC reflects our use of language. How do we use language to shape our inner world and how changes language our way of thinking?

PROGRAMMING reflects the internal program with which we live. Hoe does this program effects our way of communicating and how can we change that?

NLP uses a number of techniques and insights from connected disciplines:

  • Models from the cognitive psychology (reframing of beliefs, changing representations, activate more useful learning patterns, identifying individual and cultural filters, change perceptual positions)
  • Models from depth psychology (language patterns by Milton Erickson, time line techniques, working with metaphors, use of voice)
  • Models from behavioural psychology (anchoring of powerful states, reduce impact of emotional memories, learn to associate and dissociate)
  • Models of linguistics (using language, using linguistic transformations)
  • Insight form philosophy and anthropology (principles of culture changes, system thinking, structure of the cosmos, quality of real knowledge, approach of diseases in different cultures, etc.)
